 "The Exam Room" - The Issue
 Homeland Defense

One's record by votes or speeches is important to examine. For the more than five years in which I have been very politically active in seeking and serving this state, I have stood for National Defense Enhancements with Strengthened Homeland Security, Immigration Reform and improved Veterans Services. A strong Homeland Defense is imperative if we are to continue to be a beacon of freedom to the world while we stand firm against those who seek to destroy our way of life.

 

 


 
 "The Diagnosis" - What's Ailing Us?
 We Need a Full Commitment to Complete the Job

It is essential to a democratic and free government that a representative and free flow of ideas occur. However, once we have made a commitment of troops, we must make sure that we continue our full support of their efforts while they are engaged in their assignments on behalf of a grateful nation.

The United States as a world super power seems uniquely charged with responsibilities which others have ignored which includes examining the plight of those who face genocide or seek freedoms from repressive regimes threatening their exterminatiion. Doing this with skill and diplomacy can be difficult but is a task from which we have not retreated.

In asking our volunteer soldiers who are often young to fight battles in the name of freedom, we must honor their service, assist their families who also may sacrifice their security for our way of life, and must act responsibly.

As citizens in a free and democratic society, we must appreciate that voting is one of the freedoms for which we fight for others and must exercise ourselves so that our voices may be heard.

 

 


 
 "The Prescription" - Dr. Fisher's Solution
 A Quick and Effective Response

Our military engagements must be met with the fullest measure of our commitment to complete the jobs we start and ensure that our soldiers have the equipment and supports they need to do the tough battles assigned.

Our reponses during Hurricanes and other disasters must be quick, effective and compassionate, for these are our citizens, not refugees, all of whom deserve our best efforts.

Our nation must have inviolate borders, insure fairness in its immigration policies against illegal immigration, and must hold employers responsible for hiring only legal legitimate workers.

As the next US Representative of the 12th District, I pledge myself to protect our country from enemies domestic and foreign. I pledge, as do our soldiers to each other, To Leave No American Behind.

Dr. Ada M. Fisher who has filed for her home district’s 2006 12th US Congressional race on the Republican ticket has made a pledge and a promise to insure as do our soldiers that we as a nation “Leave No American Behind.”
