Illegal immigration is the largest threat to our
domestic national security from its potential health hazards, related crime
and violence of imported gangs, economic instability from depressed wages
for other jobs, and social burdens from educational and social services
expenditures.
I do not support amnesty or
a guest worker program when we have locked up non-violent criminals who
could have alternative sentencing for this work. Employers must be made to
comply with the law or face penalties and bear the burden of the social cost
of dealing with workers to whom benefits are not paid and for whom taxes are
gerrymandered. Government at the local, state or federal levels must lead by
requiring their hiring be preferentially directed to U. S. citizens and
where found in non-compliance face loss of contracts, penalties and cutbacks
in funding.
It is a misconception that illegal workers are
taking jobs that Americans won't do. If paid a minimum wage for their work,
jobs filled by illegal workers should be filled or the unemployment
compensation re-examined.
Dr. Fisher's Prescriptions for
Illegal Immigration
Preference in government hiring for US
citizens.
All jobs under government contracts must
be in compliance with citizenship concerns for their
workers. Whistleblowers or those identifying illegal workers hired for
government work will
receive $1000 and those not in compliance face penalties, loss of
further and future eligibility
to enter government contracts.
ICE/Immigration Customs Enforcement agency
will have at least one court in each state.
Any person in this country illegally found
in violation of the law will be deported.
Funding for border security will be
realistic and targeted to those areas most at risk.
I will lead the battle for a
constitutional amendment making English the National Language
for all government, public businesses and legal undertakings, as well as
overturn Presidential Order 1366. This would mean English Immersion
programs in preference to accommodations in languages other than English
which is draining budgets and causing much confusion. This would
not mean that people could not speak their native languages in their
home, private undertakings or other ventures. But this would mean that
native born citizens would not be a prisoner of another language in
their own land.
