Giving
This Country Away March

The March
2006 Senate vote to grant a guest worker program to those people
illegally in this country without insuring that businesses abide by
the law is wrong and racist. McCain, Clinton, Kennedy and others
from our state are enablers and have stood silent while we ship the
Haitians who come to our shores home without letting their feet
touch this valued ground, have not ventured to help the 175,000
Bantu granted amnesty by President Bush relocate to areas where
their agrarian skills in crop management could be used right here in
our state, or insured that those who work in jobs which people claim
Americans don’t want are paid the minimum wage (which then would put
them in direct competition with Americans for jobs).
A ride through eastern North Carolina in Duplin, Pender, Warren and
other counties where crops abound and meat plants utilize cheap
labor will show black Americans relegated to third class status by
high rates of unemployment and for many, the inability to be hired
since they don’t speak Spanish or can’t be hired for less than the
minimum wage. Pandering for the illegal Hispanic vote and business
lobbying with dollars is giving this country away while denying
equal opportunities to our very own citizens.
Business has a right and a duty to make money but not at the expense
of tipping around the laws or compromise to this nation’s strategic
security interest. The Dubai Ports Deal is just the tip of the
iceberg of jobs in this country being run by other nations; yet, we
say we want autonomy from international rules. Get real! The day is
coming when others may own more of this nation than US citizens do.
Congress should publicly list these agreements for all too see.
Our government must have transparency. The national debt now exceeds
10 trillion dollars, which will depend on other nations for
repayment.
Congress has too often lined its pockets and helped put Americans
out of work. Full disclosure of all lobbyist for foreign nations and
entities needs to be made public and published annually, ties of
lobbyist to previous government work should be disclosed with
elimination of such relationships for 5-10 years after leaving
public office, and no utilization of previous perks of office should
be allowed after leaving federal service beyond that available to
the general public, e.g. Congressional Dining Rooms and Gyms.
Hopefully this will force representatives to go home to the people
they said they represent in the states they claim to love.
The people who represent us should serve us.
-It is no service to give people in this nation illegally preference
over those who truly need amnesty and freedom from oppression.
-It is no service to people of this nation to allow others to reap
benefits, which citizens who pay taxes can’t get.
-It is no service to this nation to discriminate in immigration
allowing some in who are working for much of nothing while keeping
others out who are fighting for their lives.
We the people need to remember who has protected our rights and
defended our country. We need to take care of our veterans. We
should vote out of office, those who fail to understand that this
nation is not an employment agency for the whole world and that the
US Constitution must cover the needs of our citizens as in “We the
people . . .”
